Massage Therapy Services
Therapeutic Massage – Focusing on your “problem areas”. Massage strokes are applied to a therapeutic depth to coax the
tension out of muscles. Perfect for those areas of the body that take the most strain such as neck and low back. This massage can be applied to the full body or can be focused to specific areas.
Swedish Massage – Traditional massage strokes applied to the entire body. Creates a deep sense of relaxation and allows the body to enter into a healing state.
Prenatal Massage – The expectant mother is carefully positioned using the specially designed BodyCushion™ system that allows her to safely receive massage lying face down. This provides the practitioner better access to the more troublesome spots during pregnancy giving the mother a more therapeutic massage. Postpartum Massage- This program borrows from the traditions of many cultures to help the new moms recover from childbirth. Each session will be adapted to the unique needs and experience of the mom, but will incorporate traditional Swedish massage techniques, Acupressure, Reflexology and Ayurveda practices. This program is designed so that each area of the body is given specific focus and attention. These sessions will take place either in my office or in the mother's home using specially designed cushions to ensure maximum comfort for the newly postpartum mom. These cushions are ideal for the breastfeeding mother or the mom who has had a cesarean birth.
Sports Massage – Incorporate the restorative effects of massage into your training routine. Regular massage can help the athlete
better perform in competition by improving the health of the muscles and reducing incidences of injury.
Reflexology – Pressure is applied to specific points on the feet which correlate to different structures in the body. This is a
great option if a client’s target area is too sensitive or inaccessible to work. The client’s entire body is addressed in a one-hour session.
Labor Massage* – The expectant mother receives massage support from the start of active labor until the baby’s birth. Massage can include: reflexology, massage of the low back and shoulders for pain relief, aromatherapy and acupressure to improve the mother’s labor. The mother-to-be receives 10% off prenatal massages and when labor services are booked.
Massage For Children – Adults are not the only ones who benefit from Therapeutic Massage. Research indicates that children with ADHD, Autism, and other related conditions can receive benefit with massage.
