I'm Pregnant. So now what?
Congratulations! You're probably in your first trimester of pregnancy. The test has come back positive, you might feel nauseous or exhausted and maybe you've even seen a picture of your little one on an ultrasound. You might be asking yourself "Now what?"
You're Feeling All of the Emotions
"I'm so happy!"
"I'm so scared."
"OMG there's a human inside me that I'm now responsible for?!"
"What can and can't I do?"
"Are there any places to find reliable information?"
"People are already asking me if I want to breastfeed or have an epidural."
"Is a doctor or midwife better?"
"I want to make all the right decisions for my baby. How do I know what those right decisions are?"
"All the information I'm reading seems to be conflicting and contradictory. How do I know what's fact based?"
"Am I going to be a good mom?"
"I'm so scared."

Realize You Are Already Your Baby's Mom
Take a moment and breathe and realize that you are already enough. You have everything you need inside of you already to be the most amazing mom. You became your baby's mom the moment you found out your were expecting them. At that moment, you began making decisions that were in their best interest. I help moms to be quiet the static in their minds and tune into the wisdom that lies in their heart and their gut so they can make decisions that are aligned and empowered. Pregnancy is practice parenting. Learning how to make confidant and empowered decisions in pregnancy will help you make confidant and empowered decisions as a parent.
Find the Perfect Care Provider
One of the most critical decisions you will make for your pregnancy is selecting the right care provider. Having a care provider that aligns with your needs and desires is the single biggest influence on whether you have the birth you desire. Most women choose their gynecologist as their Obstetrician. Maybe they ask a trusted friend or relative. A good gynecologist might not be the best fit as your obstetrician. The midwife that your best friend used might not be the best care provider for you. How do you decide what's best for you and your baby? You could spend hours combing through online reviews of doctors. You could also ask on social media. You will quite literally be given the name of every doctor that practices in your area. Why? Because what makes one doctor great for one woman, may not make that doctor a great fit for you. This is a question, I help my clients navigate quite frequently. Click below to set up a FREE consultation, and let's discuss!
