Prenatal Massage
Prenatal Massage is not a Swedish Massage in Side-lying
Have you ever had a Prenatal Massage that felt like a professional lotion application? You laid on your side and received a very light, very general massage. What you wanted was someone to release the tension in your neck and the ache in your back, but what you got was what we call a "fluff and fold" massage.
Unfortunately, most massage therapists who do prenatal massage haven't had any additional training beyond their initial massage education. Even the ones who take a "certifying class in prenatal massage, don't continually deepen their education into this unique specialty.
Kymberlie doesn't just "do" prenatal/postpartum massage, she SPECIALIZES in it.

Kymberlie doesn't just "do" prenatal/postpartum massage, she SPECIALIZES in it.
What makes Kym different?
- She has had training specifically in prenatal massage from a nationally recognized expert
- She is an experienced birth and postpartum doula. This allows her to understand birth from all sides. Some massage therapists can help you have a better pregnancy, but she can also help you have a better birth.
- Her knowledge and experience as a prenatal massage therapist gives her a unique perspective on the changes that happen in the body during pregnancy and birth. This allows her to help bring your body into better alignment so you can have a more comfortable pregnancy and (hopefully) a smoother birth
- She has continued to deeper her training and education so that she is able to help women with both the normal aches and pains of pregnancy but also address the more complicated issues (breech presentation, diastasis recti, and symphysis pubis recti)
Pregnancy Cushions
We use the BodyCushion system. Not all pregnancy cushions are created equal. This set has three separate cushions that can be placed to fit your unique shape. Unlike one piece pregnancy cushions that take a "one size fits all" approach, this set is adjustable to allow an extensive range of body types maximum support and comfort. There is no direct pressure on the abdomen, the spine is unloaded and decompressed and the associated muscles are relaxed. This set is also made out of a high quality foam that offers my clients a great deal of support. Cheaper versions of pregnancy cushions offer less support and also off gas from the vinyl and foam.
